He is a renowned mridangam exponent with 27 years of enriched experience in the field. Besides being a teacher in “Chinamaya Kalamandir, thrissur for the last 17 years, he is B-High artist of Doordarshan and All India Radio. He has performed in various venues In India and abroad. Besides he is a gifted singer also. He has a team of accomplished disciples who have won recognition on various occasions.

He is also quite active in the arts and culture filed in Thrissur and is deputy chairman of M/s Palazhi Chitees Private limited, Thrissur.
